I have read some good reveiws of this motherboards but I have been told you dont' recommend it. How come? (11/06/2007)

We all had high hopes for the Striker board when it fist came out, a new chipset, a cool name, 3 PCI-E slots and awesome heatsinks all over the place. There are some good reviews of this Motherboard out there but you need to remember that most of the people writing the reviews haven’t used a Striker for a long period of time in a real-life situation. These boards have been the bane of our working life since their release and even after more than 6 months and many BIOS and driver updates they continue to cause us problems and as a result have unhappy customers. In a lot of cases we have had PCs back in and replaced the Strikers for a different motherboard, and we will no longer be recommending them to anyone.
That having been said there are people with Striker boards out there that have no problems and are very happy with their motherboard, but on the whole it is probably the most problematic board we have seen to date.
