My PC is starting up displaying normal boot messages but wont load into Windows. What should I do ? (08/01/2007)

The first thing to try in this situation is to clear your CMOS. This will involve moving a small plastic jumper, covering 2 of three metal pins on your motherboard from its original position, to the 'clear' position.
First thing you need to do is locate your CMOS jumpers, the easiest way to do this is to refer to the motherboard manual.
Next you need to power down your system, unplug it via the mains power cable and 'flush' the system. This means pressing the power button with the mains unplugged so as to completely clear the system of all its remaining power. You may notice any light on your motherboard will still be on even after unplugging the system from the mains, but will turn off after performing the 'flush' operation.
Next move the jumper to the 'clear' position as instructed by your motherboard. If there is a battery on your motherboard, remove it at this point and then wait for 30 seconds. Replace the battery and then the jumper to its original position.
If you have any overclocking on your systems these settings will now be lost. If you purchased your system pre-overcloked from us, all of your settings will be saved in the 'details' link of your system in your account on our website. Enter your BIOS by hitting 'del to enter setup' during your systems booting process. Here you will find all the options you need to restore your overclocking settings.
