Question:
If I order today, how soon will get I get my system? (04/09/2006)
Answer:
The building time will depend on many factors - product availability, case design, cooling, modding etc. Newly-released components are sometimes delayed and there is nothing that can be done except waiting or choosing something else. We do our best to keep the building time as short as possible and we do appreciate that in 9 out of 10 cases our customers are waiting for their machines like kids at Christmas time, however it is advisable that you consider the nature of the system when selecting a build time to avoid disappointments or for that special occasion - please consult us at anytime about that. In the cases with latest unreleased motherboards/graphics/CPUs that are being delayed worldwide, we would suggest alternatives and try to help as much as we can.
We have 3 building time options in the configuration utilities and below are explanations of what each one means. The costs of build times are worked out in %s and may vary slightly from time to time depending on factors such as how busy we are.
Saver Build:
Saver Build will be the cheapest option but the PC will not be a priority and so take a little longer to complete, around 10 to 20 working days. A PC with Saver build is just as important to us as any other PC we build; it will just be a bit further down in the queue.
Standard build:
Standard build will cost a little more, but the PC will be ready a bit quicker, around 10 to 15 working days to complete.
Express Build:
Express Build will push your PC to the front of the queue. We will usually have finished the actual build process and stress testing by the end of the first 5 days at the latest, whilst using any time after than only in the event of a hardware failure and/or something needs to be replaced. We aim to have the PC built in 5 to 10 working days.
Unfortunately, sods law has a strong tendency to rear its ugly head when working with performance hardware. Generally speaking, for simpler systems the hardware is a lot sturdier but when using the latest and greatest in high-end gear, experiencing the occasional hic-up along the way is the price you sometimes pay for having such a fast system. We take our ETAs very seriously and do everything we can to meet them but there are a few when it is just beyond our control.
For clients that have opted for our Airbrushing service, the ETA will begin from the time we get the finished case back from our artist which will take up to 10 working days from the time the custom design has been finalised. This may take less time for simple airbrushing patters
