Question:
I am considering buying from Vadim Computers, but would like to know why I should? (26/06/2006)
Answer:
We are a company that always puts our customers ahead of any other factor, that’s why we always strive to provide the absolute best service and product. The fact that so many companies say this is almost enough to turn it into a meaningless cliché. The difference with us and a lot of other companies is...we actually do it. Once you have finished reading this FAQ, please take a moment to read our customer testimonials section here
In order to understand what can be expected from us here are some outlining factors in the way we work:
Pre sales advice:
If you are considering buying from us, but are unsure of exactly what you want, we are always here to help.
We can be contacted through many different mediums including phone, email, forum and live internet chat through our site.
If you dont feel like asking someone, but prefer to make your own decisions, we also have our component buying guide and FAQs which will allow you to get a better understanding of the basic principles of a computer's components as well as the various avenues available to help make a better decision. Additionally, whenever we have some spare time, we test and review many of the latest components and technologies and publish them in easy to read articles
It can be complicated process choosing what to use in a fully Custom PC, and the most expensive option is not always the best choice, so don't hesitate to contact us for help with a specification.
Order advice:
Once an order has been placed, if we feel that an improvement can be made without additional costs, we will advise you on possible improvements. For example, a computer has been ordered with a memory that it isnt performing as well as we would expect for that configuration. In this instance we will advise you accordingly and inform you of any alternatives before going through with a build. We feel it is important not to say 'yes' to everything, but rather use the experience we have accumulated over the years we have been in business, to advise customers on the best choices to make. We have an FAQ here with some initial advice on how to select the right PC for you.
Quality components:
We use what we feel are the highest quality products in our PCs. While you may not always find the manufacturer you had in mind, you will find the manufacturer that is making a product that will be of the highest standard for your PC. We use components that we have tested ourselves, that were the quietest, longest lasting and fastest. Sometimes, the ‘must have’ products are not always the best and while we will sell these we will always point out that they do not live up to their hype.
Progress notifications and message board:
During the building of a computer we always keep you fully aware of the progress. Each order for a Custom Built PC has its own Control Panel, where it is possible to view the building progress and any changes to the ETA's updated by your own dedicated Engineer.
Additionally, the Control Panel has a built in discussion board feature that has been especially designed with the customer in mind. At any point during the PC Build, it is possible to exchange messages with email confirmations/notifications between yourself and us and vice-versa.
If during the building process we decide to suggest making a change, then you will not be left in the dark about it.
We will always make sure to keep you fully informed as to the progress of your system and any changes that may occur.
Speedy email replies:
We encourage our customers to contact us for any particular reason they see fit.
If we are contacted by email then we aim to reply to you within 1 business hour of receiving the message.
Sometimes you can even expect an answer out of business hours as well as some weekends!
Build quality:
When building any machine we take great care and pride in our build quality and will never compromise it for anything.
We will never send a computer to any customer, if it is not 100% satisfactory for us and our standards are high.
Each machine goes through a series of building procedures that minimises mistakes that are made in regards to any aspect of it.
After each PC is built and tested, it is passed to QC for final checking to ensure that everything works as it should, so you won't have any unpleasant surprises.
Of course we are proud to be recognised as the producers of the best looking/custom modified/watercooled commercially available systems!
We regard PC Building as a craft and whenever we build a system we do it with passion.
The majority of companies do it for the money, we do it for the love of what we do which is a large part of why you should expect an outstanding quality from us!
Testing:
When building a computer we always perform rigorous tests for extended periods of time (never less than 24 hours).
If any components show any signs of trouble then we will not hesitate to replace them or even upgrade in some cases. The reason why we stress test each machine for 24 hours is outlined in the below graph: If a component is to fail, it is more likelly to fail in the begining of its designated life-cycle or towards the end of it.
The majority of components that you can buy today are factory pretested (RED LINE) . The factory pretesting minimises the chances of getting a faulty product on arrival by a great deal. Here at Vadim Computers, by undertaking our in-house stress-testing for each machine, we minimise those chances of faulty products even more. So you are less likely to have any problems with any parts in your system. We have an FAQ on testing our overclocking here

PC shipping:
We go to great lengths to pack our PCs safely and securely. We have a detailed FAQ on our heavy duty packaging methods here
After sales/help line:
We understand that sometimes things go wrong, and this is another area where we excel at! We can always be contacted at any time during working hours, be it phone, email or live chat and by email during out of working hours.
No problem is ever too big for us to handle and we do our very best to rectify any situation speedily and efficiently. We have rules and company procedures, but they are as flexible as you wish them to be.
We like to say that with us you are in safe hands! Whenever you have a problem or need help with any issues, you can always use our OFRITUS (Online Fault Repair, Interactive Troubleshooting and Upgrade System) which will pleasantly surprise you of its ease of use! Your enquiry will be seen by all of our engineers so any problem will be bound to be solved pain free and with minimum efforts on your part.
After sales care:
Sometimes drivers and updates are released that are detrimental to your PC. Unfinished, buggy or generally poor software, driver or BIOS updates for varying descriptions can sometimes actually damage hardware rendering it useless. We keep a database of our customer’s configurations and when such an update is released and identified to be problematic, we send an email to every customer that owns a PC that uses hardware that will be affected by the update warning them not to download and install it. This service has avoided countless accumulative hours of not just our time but also our PC owners. Prevention is better than cure and we try to stick with this philosophy whenever possible.
X-Image back-up service:
We offer the option to choose a second operating system which is a good thing to do in this transitional period of Windows versions. Furthermore, we offer an option to have a complete restore point replica - called an X-Image - of the brand new state the PC was in just after completion. For full details on this, we have an FAQ here
Support CD:
Each system that has been selected to come with Windows preinstalled, will contain a support CD with many tools and diagnostic tests that will be useful to anyone - novice or a guru. It can also be selected to come personalised with the latest drivers for your system.
Warranty options:
We have a variety of flexible warranty plans for our custom systems and do provide life-time free of charge support over the phone, email or live chat. We have an FAQ on our warranty details here
And finally our Forum!
Last but not least, we have a forum where you can discuss with likeminded enthusiasts as well as Vadim officials anything you like, from suggestions, games, hardware upto talking about nothing!
