Question:
I just updated the BIOS on my system to 1205 and when running memtest 86+, it shows lots of errors on test number 6. Is my memory faulty? (21/06/2006)

Answer:

No, the memory isnt faulty, it is something that ASUS messed up again in their BIOS. For some reason if you do have anything connected to the USB port that is in the middle of the board (in between the CPU and VGA), memtest will report errors.

It might sound ridiculous and unbelievable to some, but officially  we have wasted a lot of time in figuring out that it is nothing wrong with the hardware, is just buggy BIOS that wont affect any of the normal operation.
