Question:
please send me information about What the different passive and active (19/11/2007)

Answer: There are three types for the Intel Xeon class of CPUs: Active, Passive and 1U. Active means that the heatsink comes with a fan, while the passive means there is a heatsink but no fan, which would be useful if you had an alternative cooling solution to put in. The 1U version means the bundled cooler is designed for the 1U rack mounts, which is normally found on older CPU architecture, pre Core series, so you will probably want either the Active or Passive.
