Johnathon 'Fatal1ty' Wendel is one of the biggest names in professional online gaming. With several world titles under his belt, and having recently won the eSports Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to professional gaming, this guy would be the one to talk to when it comes to the perfect gaming set-up.
We’re going to have a look at how true this is for the Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset.

First Impressions

Now, many people could argue that it’s what's inside that counts, but packaging is the first thing you see when you open the box and whether you choose to admit it or not, is where you gain your first impression.
Creative understand the importance of this and as a result, have produced a box that I'm now a bit reluctant to throw away.

Most of the gamers I know tell me that their biggest dilemma is the sore ears and temples from hours of gaming with a poorly fitting headset. This is especially true of those who wear glasses and the frames are pushed into the temples, leaving a nasty tell-tale red mark for a while after the headset has been removed. I too experience this problem and was interested to see how long these headphones would stay on before it got unbearable.

The velvety covering of the cushion was reassuringly gentle without being distracting or obtrusive.
The cushion itself is designed to fit over the ear as a whole, rather than pushing your ear lobes and the top of your ear into the side of your head.
This, coupled with the springy consistency of the sponge that is underlaying the velvet, ensures a good couple of hours of gameplay before things start getting itchy.
