What does the name Ferrari, Maseratti, or Aston Martin mean to you?
Power.
Speed.
Performance.
How would you recognise such a feat of engineering?
It's simple - just listen and you can hear the power from miles away!
You can feel the performance as it rolls by!
More performance - more noise - that's the rule.
And it's no doubt that such engine noise and performance feels like music to some.

Computers are pretty much the same, more power - more noise, but if a high performance car's noise sounds like music, a computer's blowers sound like an old car with no exhaust.
Instead of enjoying your game, you must listen to noisy fans and scratching hard drives.
But there are some exceptions, and we can prove this, today.

Let us introduce our new completely Silent Gaming Rig - the Vadim Fusion 'Epitaph' X2 SLI - this will make you hear only your enemy's steps just in time to send a bullet right between his eyes.
Most of all, it has enough power to fit all today gaming requirements, but has looks of tomorrow too.
Let's take a closer look at it and at its specifications:

The heart of the computer is the newly released Dual Core Athlon 64 X2 4400.
The new Athlon 64 X2 is designed for multithread applications, and you can easily encode movies while do something else in the meantime, or truly multi-tasks instead of dealing with one. More than that, the processor is not cooled by a conventional cooler, but by a fanless Scythe Ninja, which means that you won't hear noisy fans as there are none and you can play games or watch movies totally noise free.

Next important thing in this computer is the graphics card.
We decided that one graphics card wasn't enough, so we added another one, connected in SLI mode. Of course you'll say - yeah, right - how can such a powerful graphics combination be silent? The answer, is that we've picked up for this sole purpose 2 fanless Heatpipe Turboforce edition Gigabyte 6600GTs with 128Mb GDDR3 each.

Is the Athlon X2 plus two GeForce 6600GT enough?
Yes, but only if you have fast memory. So we added 2 Gigs of extreme memory from Corsair. It has a ultra low latency of 2ns for those who appreciate speed and performance. For better cooling, this memory has aluminium heat sinks. This gives you the opportunity to clock it up a little at your leisure.

And last, but not least - the PSU. To fuel up such a beast, you will need something more than an ordinary power supply. Until now, as we already know, it was impossible to get both power and silence combined. Thanks to the engineers from FSP, who again have came up with a innovative solution - the ZEN. This is both completely fanless and powerful enough to allow this system stable operation, but also has dual 12V rails providing strong amperage and pure voltage straight to the brains of this gaming demon.

The case has to be mentioned as well - the Coolermaster Stacker, which has been excellently designed for optimum airflow. We've removed all case fans and replaced them with just 2 Silent, Blue 120mm fans that are not only silent at their full speed, but are controlled by an intelligent digital fan controller; which normally runs them at half their full operating rpm, that means twice as silent than most fans found in the market today.

So that leaves only the Hard Drive that can be heard, but we chose the most silent one - a Seagate Barracuda SATA.

The Vadim Fusion 'Epitaph' X2 SLI scores 6500 in 3D Mark 05 (here is the link to the results), at standard frequencies, and you can expect even higher scores, with some overclocking.
